Running late happens
Text us — we'll always try to make it work. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late we may need to shorten or move your service so the guest after you isn't affected.
Cancellations
Life changes; just give us 24 hours' notice and there's no charge at all. Inside 24 hours we ask for 50% of the service, and same-day no-shows are billed in full.
Deposits
Color and braiding appointments over two hours take a $50 deposit that comes straight off your final total. It simply holds a long block of a stylist's day.
Redos, on us
If something isn't right, tell us within 7 days. You'll come back in and we'll correct it at no cost — no debate, no awkwardness.
FAQ
Questions we hear every week.
Do you work with all hair types and textures?+
Yes. Every stylist at Studio 23 is trained on type 1 through type 4C hair, including dry cutting for curls, silk presses, locs maintenance, and protective styling. You will never be turned away or referred out because of your texture.
Do I need a consultation before a color or big change?+
For major color corrections, extensions, or a dramatic cut we recommend a free 15-minute consultation first — in person or over video. For everything else, your consultation happens at the start of your appointment.
Do you cut kids' hair?+
We do, for ages 12 and under at $35. Book earlier in the day when the salon is quieter, and let us know if it's a first haircut so we can plan extra time.
Do you take walk-ins?+
Walk-ins are welcome for barber cuts, bang trims, and beard line-ups when a chair is open. Color, braids, and silk presses always need an appointment.
How far ahead should I book?+
Evenings and Saturdays fill about two to three weeks out. Weekday mornings often have openings within the same week.
Where do I park?+
There's free two-hour street parking on Main Street and a paid lot half a block north. For braiding appointments, use the lot.
